This is an example of the cross-hatched watermark to be found on the Isabel II stamps from 1855:

  • 2 cuartos green;
  • 4 cuartos red;
  • 1 real blue-green;
  • 2 reales violet.

These same designs were issued in 1855 with the looped watermark.
